Audi plans to increase the number of models in the crossovers and SUVs section. The company plans to add Audi Q4 in the models list, which will be fastback version of Audi Q5. It is expected the car to appear on the market in 2014 and to have price starting from 35,000 EUR. According to the magazines, the development of Q4 is in advanced stage and is performed in the research center of Audi in Ingolstadt. The car will be built in the same platform MLB (modularen langsbau), which is modular architecture for longitudinal engine. On the same platform is made Audi Q5 and even some speculations claim that will be build also the new Porsche Cajun. Audi Q4 will have dimensions, same as Q5 ones – 4,650 mm length, 1,880 mm width, 1,600 mm height (a little bit smaller that Audi Q5 height) and 2,850 mm wheelbase. The design of the new Audi Q4 will be really more aggressive and more attractive than the one of the largest SUVs of the company, but really close to the Audi Q5. The interior is also taken from Audi Q5 with a few innovations in the main console and back seats.
